28/2/2008: The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and the Panhellenic Exporters Association (PEA) organized the event:
“Economic Diplomacy: Review 2007 – Action Plan 2008”.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms Dora Bakoyannis and the Deputy Minister, Mr. Petros Doukas were the keynote speakers.
Mr. Theodore Skylakakis, Secretary-General for International Economic Relations and Development Cooperation, Mr. Thanassis Lavidas, SEV’s Secretary-General and Ms Christina Sakellaridis, Chairman of PEA also addressed the event.
The 2008 Action Plan was designed according to the strategy adopted in the National Exports Council and it is being implemented with the support of the Ministry’s extensive network in 87 countries (148 Embassies, Consulates General, Consulates and Liaison Offices, with 58 Offices of Economic and Commercial Affairs) and in cooperation with the private sector.
The speakers presented the economic diplomacy activities implemented in 2007 and the plan for 2008. This plan is actually a work in progress evolving according to new facts, business needs and opportunities.
